About Apex Technologies

Apex Technologies was founded in 2021 as an exclusive distributor of high-end entertainment technology solutions. Our mission is to seamlessly deliver select lighting, A/V, staging and power supply products not currently represented in the U.S. market.  Most product lines Apex will represent are well-established on stages and venues in other parts of the world.   

We are currently the only U.S. distributor of the coveted Italian DTS brand of moving head and LED fixtures, as well as Belgian based Lucenti lighting. Additional exclusive brands and product lines will be introduced in the coming months.

Founders

  • Bill Morris

    Bill Morris is currently the President of Slow Wave, Inc. and Board member at Worldwide Stages in Nashville, TN. He originally joined the entertainment technology industry in 2003 as VP with High End Systems where he ultimately served as CEO. After selling High End Systems to Barco in 2008, Bill stayed on at Barco as worldwide VP of Hospitality and Venues. He left Barco in 2015 to become President of Wagner Media which was sold to 4Wall Entertainment in 2017. He remained at 4Wall as General Manager, SE region until his failed attempt at retirement in 2019.

  • Anders Karlsson

    Anders Karlsson is a Swedish live event industry powerhouse, having managed the technical aspects in productions including Foster The People, Chvrches, Moby, Skrillex, Robyn, and Icona Pop, as well as Backline and Headline Talent Manager for the 2015 European Games and Operations Manager for Eurovision Song Contest 2017. He currently lives in Marina del Rey working as production manager for Ke$ha and A$AP Rocky.

  • Tarmo Krimm

    Tarmo Krimm is an Estonian Technical Director and Multicamera Director, working in technical management of global extravaganzas worldwide including the Sochi 2014, Rio 2016 and PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies; 2019 SEA Games Opening Ceremony; European Games Baku 2015 and Minsk 2019; EXPO 2017 Opening Ceremony. He has been on various senior managing positions for 12 different Eurovision Song Contest finals throughout 2002-2019. As the Multicamera Director he has produced coverage for various international sport competitions ranging from football to biathlon, figure skating and other winter sports.
    He most recently worked as Technical Director for the Dubai EXPO 2020 Daily Entertainment.

  • Ola Melzig

    Ola Melzig is a Swedish producer, most commonly associated with the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). Since 2000, Melzig has handled technical production for thirteen ESC finals and was seated as the Stage and Concert producer for two. He has also managed numerous high-profile televised productions including the Nobel Banquet, the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India, and the closing ceremony of the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. Other international productions include the 15th IIFA Awards and the 150-year anniversary of Cinco de Mayo in Mexico. He most recently served as Executive Producer of the American Song Contest on NBC.
