DTS Alchemy 7 Wins LDI Debuting Product Award

Carmen Savarese and Ola Melzig accept the Award

 

USA - DTS, the Italian Professional Lighting company has won the prestigious Best Debuting Product Award for the entertainment industry. The Award, hosted during the LDI exhibition in Las Vegas was given to DTS's Alchemy 7, the latest Wash moving head announced by the company in 2021.
Alchemy 7 was designed in order to widen its range and offer a high-power, high-efficiency product.
With a 250mm lens, a two-blade framing system and a 6-LED colour chip, capable of delivering quality light and a wide range of pastel shades, this product was placed on the market with the goal to accommodate to the most demanding requests from lighting designers and directors of photography.
The Best Debuting Product Award was proudly accepted by Carmen Savarese, international sales manager at DTS and Ola Melzig, one of the four founders of Apex Technologies, DTS’s exclusive distributors in North America.

DTS returns to the United States: The Italian brand announces exclusive partnership with American distributor Apex Technologies

DTS Illuminazione is glad to announce a new exclusive lighting collaboration with North American company Apex Technologies. Simone Francia, DTS Executive Vice President, says the collaboration will only contribute to brighten the company’s future: “Coming back to the American market has been in our plans all along. Accomplishing this goal is only further proof that we’re moving in the right direction:  it was crucial to us, as it’s a stepping stone that will strengthen our future as a company”.

This collaboration marks the start of a new chapter for DTS, who hasn’t had a distributor in the States in the last few years, and was planning on coming back to the American market.

“DTS have proven through steady growth and recent product introductions that they are ready to fulfill that role.  We are extremely honored and proud to have DTS as a flagship product line at APEX Technologies.” Says Bill Morris, President of Apex.

The four founders of Apex Technologies – Ola Melzig, Bill Morris, Anders Karlsson and Tarmo Krimm – have known each other for decades and they now had the opportunity to start a company together, while bringing in the industry professionals who have impressed and moved them in the past. “What better way to start this family than by working with partners like DTS who share our passion for the industry, delivering great products and fun!”

The Italian brand of professional lighting is proving to be consistently expanding in the number of international distributors and in variety of products, both for entertainment and architainment purposes. In order to keep growing consistently, it proved necessary to find a distributor that would cover the American market in the US. This necessity was met when DTS’s sales team found Apex Technologies.

Carmen Savarese, DTS International Sales Manager is enthusiastic about the partnership.

Apex Technologies Debuts as U.S. Distributor of Exclusive International Brands

Pleasant View, TN, USA –Some familiar faces have joined forces to create Apex Technologies, with an intent to distribute exclusive worldwide entertainment technology solutions to the North American market.

Their mission is to seamlessly deliver select lighting, A/V, staging and power supply products not currently represented in the U.S. market.  Most product lines Apex will represent are well-established on stages and venues in other parts of the world.   

The founders of Apex Technologies – Bill Morris, Anders Karlsson, Tarmo Krimm and Ola Melzig – register over 120 years of industry experience, running some of the biggest companies and productions in the industry.

CEO Bill Morris explains, “APEX Technologies is the brainchild of a few of us that saw a open niche in the marketplace to bring exciting products to the North American market. All four of us have either lived in or traveled the world extensively and can clearly see the creative differences in the way live productions are done outside of the USA. There are some great products that just need to be available to the American market. So, we decided to form a U.S. distributor of exclusive products to help facilitate a more global live entertainment industry.”
